I am looking at getting a new tablet and maybe someone can help me. The present tablet I have is a Sony with a 10" screen. I 'd like to get one with a larger screen if possible. I'm not interested in those 2 in 1 laptops and the only tablets with hte bigger screens are the new I pad pro or the Samsung Galaxy Note. They both have screens that are a little over 12". The I pad pro which will be coming out in November has a 12.9" screen and the Samsung has a 12.2"screen. My question is does anyone have one of the Samsung Galaxy tablets and how do you like it? The apple tablet I'm sure is awesome but I doubt if you will be able to pick one of those up for months because of the demand. If anyone can help I would appreciate your feedback.

Thank you

Rich

Bigger than 10" tablet is not good in my opinion. It's too large to hold.

When I get another, it won't be an iPad. Mine has been getting slower and slower, despite that fact that I did a complete back-to-new reset. I suspect that the older machines (iPad 2) can't handle the new OS as they are introduced.

Here is what PCMag has to say.

I have a Samsung Tab 7". I realize that this is smaller that what you want but I love my Tab. It is much cheaper than Apple products.

Last week I was at Costco and they had the 10" on sale for $289. My husband's iPad is getting slower and seems to be having trouble. The next one for him will be the Samsung Tab 10".

I tried out the Acer too. Took it back, much prefer my Samsung.

I have a 3 year old Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 that I just love. I use an i-pad Air 2 at the store because I need to for Square System compatibility. I totally hate it due to its limitations and upgrade compatibility problems. Never another Apple product for me, not worth their high pricing in any respect.

I would like to do some photo editing (photoshop) and print out on my Canon Pro 100. This Sony tablet I have just doesn't have enough memory ( only 16 gb) . Whatever tablet I get will have a minimum of 64. I have trouble getting the printing app to work properly.

I'm really suprised, every review that I see raves about the Air 2. Of course these are reviews from people who have only had their tablet for 2-3 weeks. I am glad to get this information, you learn the most from people who had their tablets for about a year or so.

Thank you for the info, I know that Samsung has a great reputation and after reading some of the feedback I received I'm leaning towards the Samsung. Again, thank you.

Before you commit to a Samsung, here is an interesting article about the new Surface Pro 4 due out this month.
Depending on your needs, you can custom order the configuration that you want:

Between $900 and $2,700 is a pretty big price tag for a tablet with a keyboard.

True, however the OP stated that he wanted to run Photoshop, or similar photo editing apps. I don't know that the Samsung will do that.
Besides, it's just a suggestion.

Right. I was just surprised at the price of the Surface. I didn't think it was comparable to a laptop.

I have a Galaxy SIII phone and a Galaxy Note 4 7" tablet. I really like them both. I have used an Apple iPhone 4S and Apple 10" iPad. Really hated them both.

I think the Surface Pro 4 is probably great for the professional who will be using it for the type of work that they do but I can't justify the cost for the casual type uses I have. I do hope that the tablet I end up purchasing can be used in photo editing, but my main concern is the memory I will need. I still need to do my homework in that respect.
