These are things near our home. Just trying to use the things that I have learned here to frame them better with my camera.

Very pretty series. If you are able, try the location of #2 and #3 again at different time of day - for shadows to bring out shapes and textures. Quality light is a huge part of photography :)

Thank you, Linda, I know you are right. You have inspired me to go back over there in a couple of minutes as the sun gets lower. They are a beautiful exposed rock formation and I know I can do better. Practice practice practice... ;-)

I went back to try and capture better light but the clouds were blocking the sun and it didn't go well. I will keep after it. I did try editing one of the original shots a little and maybe it turned out a little better. ;-)

I think the 2nd one is definitely better. Your on the right track, keep practicing in different light situations as Linda suggested.

I seen an improvement in I'm pics by using the grid lines in my electronic view finder.

Definitely! Closer crop works really well here. Better luck with the sun and clouds next trip :)
