Miss that Pentax,,,,,,,the texture thing is superbly applied if that in fact is what I see.
It is indeed a texture that you see my man. Heavier than I normally would use it but it suited our boy.

A beautiful portrait. The gritty texture makes one wonder where and why. For me, the size of the hand is still a shock next to the feminine face. Very effectively done.

(Is there a streak from the right side of her face extending to her neck, or is it my monitor?)

Not your monitor. It seems to be a scratch on a print.
Regardless, lovely contrasting of hairy hand and feminine looking face. Very nice portrait of a very happy person. More power to 'em.

Hya Jim and thank you for calling by. When I took this snap I thought I had captured a great shot (for me and my limited ability anyway)
When I processed I thought it was among the best things I had ever done and just loved it.
So posted it to get basically ignored lol.
Luckily I post, like you, to please myself and not others. I still think its a fine portrait but admit to a touch of bias!!!

Did I fail to say, "I love it"?
The tilting head works really well with the tight crop.
So do I fella. Those with impeccable taste are in a minority here my friend lol

The internal contrasts so obviously shown with no attempt at concealment reveals a self-confident self-satisfaction...and I agree...one of your best!
