problems with leg. It got infected and had a lot of dead tissue which draws infection and they went in and had to remove a lot of skin and couldn't even close it up. There is an extreme amount of pain an today and again Friday and I am having surgery again. They have a sponge that has a suction tube in it that help to close the wound and it can heal from the inside out and then I have to go to a skilled nursing facility. They said I would be stiff legged if I don't loose thee leg. I still planning on taking pictures of some cute nurses. Sorry I can't post any more pictures of the wound admin said some one who we all know complained that this is a family site. Sorry if I offended anyone. Hoggs rule

Very, very good wishes. There are clearly things that some people do not wish to see and find disturbing. Here's wishing you a swift and full recovery.
Best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery.

Thanks all. It means a lot.

Hope it all works out for you. Get well real soon!
Bushy - It sounds like a difficult situation. To a degree, I've been there. My greatest comfort was a strong support group such as the one here at UHH. Please keep us posted from time to time. You are in my daily thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.
All the best, hope your healed up soon

My (our?) prayers for a speedy recovery. If you want to post details and a picture, do it in the attic and leave a link here. Necrosis is no fun, but, since you're still alive, your odds for significant recovery are good.
And, yes, I'm unashamedly morbid..... :?
Bushymonster - If infection is the main problem try Colloidal Silver. There is a cream which can be applied to the skin (that's 'topical'). Rub it in or simply spread it on all the infected area. The other form is a spray - little squirt bottle - and it can be used both topically, even ON THE WOUND - or taken orally. So you could spray the infected area and then, when it's dry, apply cream and also take a squirt in the mouth. There's really only the taste of water. And cheap!
If the medics jump up and down, or even just up, remember that there are no side effects and is not incompatible with any of the patented and costly and very often ineffective drugs that will be tried out on you. It is a particularly effective anti-inflamatory that has been used and proved for centuries. Though you may be told that it won't work because it hasn't been 'tested' keep it in mind that the drug companies will not put their time or anything else into research that will not result in a patentable and hugely profitable product.
You can make colloidal silver at home!
You may find the infection quits spreading within a day and the necessity for the reasonably accurate knife-throwers to practise on you at your expense and consternation will disappear more quickly than you could imagine. But do it now before the pain is so extreme that you'll be begging to have the leg removed at the waist.
The possibilities I've outlined above happened to both me and my sister within the last two months so I know. And 60 is only a disappearing memory for us both.
Don't rely on the prayers and the "hope you're better soon"s. Just do it. Our well-being depends on each of us. Not those who need and want sick people for their incomes.
Again - and again - just DO IT. We want you here with us.
Mike.
Yes, best wishes and prayers for you Bushy. Yes I prefer pics of the cute Nurses ;)
Bushymonster, hope all goes well. When I used to work in hospital they used to treat ulcerous infections with something called EUSOL (Edinburgh University Solution Of Lime). Don't know if it would be useful in your case but it wouldn't hurt to enquire.
