This is Mt. Chocorua, one of New Hampshire's most iconic scenes, reflecting in the lake of the same name early in the morning of October 6. I grew up with 2 pictures of this mountain in my home. When I was very young my father climbed it and twisted his ankle near the top. In the summer of 2006, I climbed it to celebrate my recovery from open heart surgery the previous December. I can't pass this spot without stopping.

Thank you, Bob. I have a thing about reflections on water and this particular lake is hard to catch with a smooth surface. So I was very excited to catch this one.

Thanks, Jean. When I got there the whole mountain was hidden by clouds. I could only hope the sum would burn them away. I like the fact that it left just that one.
