Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS SOLD

My initial goal was to have photography as my hobby in retirement. Along the way, I was sidetracked back into my passion for woodworking. I am posting a plethora of camera gear today. Most is Canon brand. I do have some other name brand accessories as well.
All prices are plus shipping. It is not my intention to make a profit on shipping so if I ever charge you by more than $2.00 over the actuial cost on the shipping, I will refund the difference. Anything less than two dollars will cost more to refund than the actual refund amount. I will ship it by whatever means you like. I have easy access to UPS, FedEx and to the Postal Service. I have found the Postal Service to be the least expensive for most items. Whether the item is insured is also your decision and will be done at your expense.
I would rather avoid PayPal due to their fees. I will accept personal checks or bank money orders. If you really want to pay by PayPal, you can do a friends and family transfer to me.
I will try to describe the items as accurately as I can. If there is something specific you want to know, just ask and I will be happy to provide the information if I can.
I am open to offers, however, please be reasonable. I am not desperate to sell anything. I have a few woodworking machines that I would like to upgrade, but I am not in a hurry.
This lens is several years old but has seen little use. It is absolutely flawless. There are no nicks in the paint or dents. The glass is perfect. It comes with the Canon soft case. It also has a CPL filter which has been on since new. I do not have the box

Brand new from Canon this lens sells for $1199.00. Make sure you are looking at the exact same lenses for your pricing.

I thought that they just added a II to upgraded items and discontinued the old style. I didn't realize they still had the original style. I will drop this to $1000.

This lens is no longer available new from Canon at any price. The new version is much more expensive than this lens, it sells for 1999.00. The asking price for this lens is quite reasonable.

I agree. I just sold the same lens on ebay for $1340. After fees and shipping I got about $1100

I think your pricing is for the f/4 IS, completely different lens.

I think he is asking a fair price. I just sold the same lens for $1340. My was used also, but not much, looked brand new. Here is a link to the lens on Amazon
