This is a follow-up to the "Future Paper" post. I changed the title since tress are no longer destined to become paper.

This is a crop of a wider stitched panorama so that I could move the vanishing point angle. I also brought out the colors more and tried to incorporate the other suggestions regarding contrast.

Have I helped it or not? Have I overdone some of the adjustments?

You aren't going to please all of the people all of the time. I like your original composiion better. I think it makes better use of the repeating pattern of the trees. There is too much foreground here. The nearest trees feel random to me they don't fit into the pattern. The pattern is just not as strong.
Saying all that I think the exposure and color is better on this one.

I think the variety of opinions is the strength of this forum. Posters can check out the various suggestions and pick out the ones that work best for them.

This is so true. I have learned so much in the years I have been here. I have learned to appreciate a lot of art styles that in the past I would have ignored.

I don't think it is over done and I like the fact that you can look right down the row in the front while the other trees have a random location appearance. Very nice photo.

I don't know what you did to bring out the colors, but you might try warming the entire shot slightly by moving the color balance slightly toward yellow. On the other hand, we are definitely not all experts here. If we tried to follow all the UHH advise, we'd end up with a disaster! In some cases all the cropping advise would result in practically no picture at all! Bottom line is take it for what it's worth to you and make your own decision. :?

I just did what you suggested with the white balance and like that change. Thank you.

As for following all the advice... I will try them all because even if I don't use them I learn from the experience. Then I pick and choose what I like the best for the current photo. Also, the ones not used this time might apply next time. (ex: angle of shot at capture time, or seeing the subject from a different point of view)

I think it is very important to be thinking about the next shot and applying advice give to that.
