It sure does look like Andromeda to me. Nice capture Jim.
Is that where you were pointing the Lens???
My AVX is working perfectly for me.
I had a great weekend just doing Visual up on the Mountain.

I was indeed pointed at Andromeda here in turkeyville.
I was moaning about it in one of your post and did fairly well last night.
What I was hinting at was this time it at least looks like andromeda.
Practice, mutter, practice some more.

What else is pretty neat is you also got the Companion Galaxies too.

Mine's working perfectly now too.
Last I heard, it is working it's way perfectly up the cue to a repairman. Please allow 30 days to complete the repairs.
(We wouldn't want somebody to get off their butt, now would we?)

That is all...

Cloudy here last night.
No rain.
Just false pretenses.
It looked crummy enough I did pull in my tripod that has been set up and covered for days. :hunf:

That's what I do, leave it setup and covered with 30gal trash bag and then a white drop cloth to help reflect the heat.
But I do bring it all in when the weather dictates.

I had my geared head on it and then just snap the camera on it.
It kept it aimed at the same chunk of sky.
I can just set the toes back in the washers for it to be indexed back where it was.
LA weatherman sez possible rain on Thursday.
