Average price for that lens. The "AF-S" version is the new model and about $1000 higher priced.

That's what mine is, the AF-S.
I got it at the Pasco Camera Exchange in New Port Richey, Fl. The guy who owns the store also sponsors the camera club I belong to so I try to give him some business. It's a long drive though, about 45 min. each way.

Both those prices are WAY under MAP as well as way under the $2388 dealer cost of that lens. Buy all they have and send them to me, I will gladly pay you a handsome profit.

Best Buy at times has such a good deal mainly on expensive items as most people don't buy those at Best Buy. They ended up with lots in stock and then decided to get out of that line so they put them on sale.
