Shot in the Haliburton Sculpture Forest just as we were leaving. All in all I think this was the best shot of the day. C&C welcome.

I love this shot. The colors and perspective aimed upward like this is great. It looks huge. I sort of wish I could tell how tall it is, but maybe it is best that I don't know. I can't think of a thing I would change, except maybe clone out a few very small items on the ground. (but those things are so small, they really don't matter.)

This photo is a great example of when I would have a hard time deciding whether or not to keep it in color or change it to black-and-white. I would opt for the latter because the fall colors are not the subject and, to me, actually distract from the subject.

I can't find anything I don't like about this other than the road leading your eye right out of the frame. I have no idea what is around this but if you could have chosen another angle that did not include the road I think the image would be stronger. Maybe shoot from the other side and use the road to lead your eye in.

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, this statue is right in the middle of the college parking lot with lots of light and electrical poles to the right and left. This is the only viable viewpoint. In fact I did clone out a light pole on the far left. I don't feel comfortable with cloning out an entire road as it is part of the scene. The light pole was at the very edge so cloning it doesn't really change the given scene. I might try darkening the road though, we'll see. Thanks again for the insights.

Right. A lower viewpoint using the base to obscure the road in its entirety would have further emphasized the height and removed the distracting road.

A horizontal flip should sort the road for the average viewer, I think.

Love your perspective big guy. You've given this statue some personality with it. Love the colour in the background .. sharp where it needs to be. Nicely done.
