Fat Albert and the Blue Angels - San Francisco Bay

It's that time of the year again in San Francisco when the Blue Angels show their stuff during four days of airs shows (2 practice, 2 actual) during Fleet Week.

Thursday I took a few shots from the top of my building downtown. Friday I took a Hornblower cruise for the practice session in the late afternoon. Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous and I went down to the waterfront by the San Francisco Yacht Club. Today (Sunday) the fog is in pretty heavy and it's looking like they probably won't fly. I'm not too far away from the Golden Gate Bridge so will keep an eye on the weather in the next few hours and head over if it looks promising.

I'll be sorting those shots for the next week I'm sure. Here are six shots from Friday on the boat. I used my Canon 7DII with the 100-400 II lens in shutter priority mode.

Thank you Mike, I appreciate your kind words. I'm glad I pushed myself out on Saturday too as the fog was in full force yesterday and would not have been the best for photos.

I went down to the waterfront on Saturday past the St. Francis Yacht Club, it was awesome but huge crowds. I had my personal chauffeur ( LOL, my wife) drop me off and pick me up. It worked out well.

Nice set Chris...they've rattled my windows a time or two. The airport they use when in Nashville is just 2 miles away. They fly right over on many maneuvers. My wife hates when they come because of all the noise...but I love it. The noisier the better. Again...Great Job.

Hi James, thanks for looking. We are in the flight path too....it just kills me when I hear the great birds flying and we're socked in with fog. Ugh!...yesterday!

Today (Monday) was stinking gorgeous!....go figure and the Blue Angels are off to Kaneohe in Oahu.
