I have the variable aperture one & love it... Most shots I take with it are landscape type shots.

I had the Canon EF-mount version of that lens; it was the one thing I really missed when my Canon Rebel died and I moved to Pentax ... but then I was able to get a K-mount version of it, and all is well with the world again. Personally, I use it mostly in museums, where narrow aisles make it hard for me to take the picture I want.

I have taken very few pictures with the K-mount version, but here are a couple of straight out of camera (absolutely no changes by me) images from our trip to the Henry Ford Museum last month.

You're very welcome.

One thing I don't understand is that when someone lists a lens for sale here, they almost always provide multiple pictures of the lens itself, but no pictures taken using the lens. Knowing that the lens is in good condition is nice, but knowing what a lens can do is the ultimate test of it.

You should be able to download my images to inspect on your own computer. Issues such as noise are a result of the camera I used, but this should give you a reasonably good understanding of the Image Quality you can expect from any variant of this lens.

I have this lens and it works great on my crop sensor bodies. Here is a shot of San Francisco looking at pier 37. There is a bit of single image HDR done to this image. DxO was also used to straighten up some leaning buildings from the wide angle view.

San Francisco

I love mine, the 3.5 10-20. very responsive for grab shots, but i use mine mostly for real estate pictures. Sharp, extremely sharp @ f5.6 & f8. My Sony Alpha has internal IS.
