I'm thinking about purchasing a Canon Pixma Pro 10 but I need to figure out where I'm going to put it. If someone out there in the great HOG land knows how much real space I need to place this on a table I would appreciate some help. I'm planning to put the printer on a rolling printer table so what I'm looking for is the distance between the feet that the printer rests on. If it hangs over a little beyond the feet it won't matter, as long as the feet are firmly planted on the table top.
Dimensions are the same as the 100, published as 27.2x15.5. I have my 100 on a 12x32 fake Mission Oak side table. It is solid. I pull it away from the wall to extend the back for use. The printer is quite heavy, so a rolling table will need to be stable or bottom weighted.

How far apart are the feet on the long side? I have a steel table in mind but I need to figure out if the top will be long enough.
20" outside edge to outside edge.
Great, thank you that's what I needed.
I use a 4 ft table for my Canon Pro Mark II. Just right for me.

My microwave sits nicely on an 18 inch wide table. What's yer point?

The Pro-10 has three pairs of rubber feet. The front two are 19 1/4 inches outside to outside, the second pair, about 2 inches behind the front ones are 22 1/4 inch outside to outside and the rear two are 17 1/4 inches across. There are also a couple of plastic support bumps near the middle.
To be fully supported on all feet, you need a minimum table size of 22 1/4 by 10 3/4. I would go bigger, especially front to back for stability with a 44 pound printer. Also remember that in addition to the 15 1/4 inch machine depth you need an additional 6 inches at the rear for when the feed trays are open. It's big but it works perfectly with wi-fi so it can be placed anywhere in the house.
I got a Pro-10 a few days ago (and luvin' it), so I'm table shopping too. In the meantime the printer shipping box is usable as a stand in but it's already starting to sag under the weight. :|
I kept my PP 100 on a writing desk area in the kitchen -- covered except when in use -- for almost two months. That was a deep counter, and it worked great short term. Just fold & unfold.
Thanks, that's a big help. The table I'm looking at is a 26 x26 inch rolling printer table; Safco Products 1856BL Scoot Desk Side Printer. Has a 200lb weight capability. Not exactly high end furniture but it'll work for me and if my wife wants it out of the media room for guests, it's on rollers so it'll be easy to move.
I got a 100 and love the prints, but after only a few big ones I'm out of two ink colors. I love big prints, but I can tell the ink is going to be bank breaker. Guess I'll always proof small first.
If you look around on the internet, you can find some good deals. Not cheap but a good bit cheaper. 8 ink value pack on Amazon right now $98.80. Probably something better if you look.

Please refer to my suggestion from last month. Without following my own advice, I just printed an 11 X 17 then decided I wanted it a little lighter. Just doubled my paper and ink cost.

I have my Pro-10 on a cart with a 13.5 x 20 inch top, while the machine extends beyond the edges considerably the feet all fit on that space and it is steady.
