Not posted for a long time, but here are a couple from the Scottish borders around St ABBs head.

nice shots. where exactly is St. Abbs Head? your common lobster shot is the same species as i would catch off my coast. although, it looks as though its a blue lobster, maybe not so common after all. gary

St Abbs Head is just above Berwick on Tweed on the East Coast of Scotland.

All our Common Lobsters are they are Homarus gammarus.

Would love to see a squat lobster. What water temps are you dealing with in Scottland?

Hi Chowe,

Sea Temp at this time of year is 13/14c that's as warm as it gets. Will be down to about 8/9c in March, April time.

Have added another photos of squat lobster for you along with some lions mane jelly fish and a sea squirt.

This is about the same temps we have in N. California. Which is also why I haven't dove here in many years. Are you in a drysuit?

Hi Craig,

Yes dry suit all the year round. Just change the undersuit for winter. More thermal protection. And 5mm gloves as oppose to 3mm.
