Looking at the images below do you like the subject on the left or subject on the right, and why?
- The 'why' is the most important part!

Let the experiment begin! S-

Subject Left
Subject Left...

Subject Right
Subject Right...

Subject left, second duck is inconsequential, subject right, second duck is a distraction.
But that's just me.
Interested to see where this goes.

I'm curious too and will expand on it when we get a few more votes. Thank you! S-

The only problem I see is in the sun shade which is misleading as it changes the spacial orientation. Facing South*, East or West? Time of the day is also screwed up.

Where there only one I would not care one way or another.

Also this works only in special conditions where there is no clue as to what is what.

In photography I think vertical then orientation, sorry, so, neither.

That is a valid answer to your question as there is always four choices to any question*. Think about it. (That why polling is a joke.)

-----
* Usual 4 answers
1) Care (yes)
2) Do not care (no)
3) Do not know (neither)
4) Will research and come back to you.

My answer is 3 for the reasons I gave.

I prefer on the left. I'm going to say that because I read left to right my starting point is on the left and that just makes if feel more natural. Just my opinion!

Hi, St3v3'

There was some interesting and objective input on this topic in another thread some time back.

S, I prefer the left.
I hope I'm not spoiling the experiment, but I've brought this up several times in previous posts and in one of my post on composition.
Many left handlers will pick the opposit side as do right handers. None are wrong but just a matter of left or right brain dominant. Good luck with the experiment! ;-)
