The B&W is great, but I would like to see the full color.

I totally disagree with these guys. How on Earth can one tell what season these are in? The majesty and exuberance of of fall is totally missing. Just because you can photograph an old barn in B&W doesn't mean you should. I have been in Colorado in the fall and it is absolutely magnificent because of all the color!

Yes. Autumn colors are not black and white.

Wow...
Narrow Minded Are We????

Best of both worlds....

Shoot in color, and PP B&W

Frankly I really like the shots you displayed, but you could do them both ways...one of the wonders of digital, even though I prefer film

Large format photographer friend once said to me... "Hey, you wouldn't come home and leave all those colors laying out there in the field. Shoot Color, Post Process however you like. You have more freedom in POST in B&W anyway."

Not narrow minded at all. Color photography evolved because of a need for realism among other things. The realism in this case being the fall colors which can be viewed with awe. This can not be done with B&W no matter how hard one tries. These photos, in my opinion are very depressing and have a negative impact. But by no means am I knocking the O.P.'s efforts. In addition, even though it sounds like I am being righteous, I am not, I am simply conveying my sentiments about this series; no one else's.

What f, part of "Colorado autumn's COLORS don't you understand. You want a b&w Colorado mountain scene? Fine, then don't use the word COLOR in the topic.

And it sounds as if your "Large format photographer friend" is as ignorant as you

I am a B&W guy since reading and viewing Ansel Adams photo's for so many years. when doing film i made a stab at his procedures ! Now it is digital and my darkroom is a computer and exposing the same way but jt is much less of a problem !!

color for sure - I have not had the pleasure to travel much & enjoy looking at different places people have photographed but B&W - in the Fall? yes....absurd ;)

Awefull! If awesome is something that has some awe, then awefull would be something that has all awe. Not to be confused with aweful.

These are not standard by any means. I think they are excellent. You may not want to describe them as fall shots but, the drama that you put in these is really good.
