Barns - round and half round.
These were taken many years ago with a film camera. The old barn was half moon shape on the left side. I had a picture when it was still standing but can't find it. Notice the trees in the background and bush in front in the last picture. The barn hadn't changed much while the trees grew up. The open doors on the right must be where they pulled the hay racks in to unload. They would lift the rope hay slings up then pull into the hay loft. I will check with the county history center to see if they have any pictures. Have you ever seen a barn built like this?
Round barn in good shape.
Half round barn in bad shape.
Taken about 20 years ago. Now it is gone.
Neat shots. There was a round barn (totally round) in Champaign IL years ago. Town grew and took over the area. It was redone and turned into a restaurant. Then an outdoor shopping mall was built up around it.

Sorry about being so late to comment on your question. When I grew up there was a round barn just west of the intersection of county road 18 and Round Lake Road just outside of Anoka. Might still be there. The last time I noticed it, it appeared to be in good shape.
I just checked google earth and the barn is still standing. It is surrounded by all new construction and really looks out of place now. The city must of required it to remain because of the historic value. My rememberance of it is with the house and out buildings and animals still there.
There was another round barn, a white one but I'm not sure it's still standing. I never did get a picture of that one.

I don't know where this was taken but I see you're from Minnesota. If you google round barns in Minnesota you'll get a long list of them. Unfortunately it looks as if about half are gone.

Yesterday I seen the white round barn and still in use. I would have to go in the yard to take a good picture.
