Angles lines and a dirty great big rock. Dirty big rock to be found in the pond outside Starbucks near where I live.

Crazy lines and a huge rock living in a pond! Perfect territory for ol Billy.
Enjoy a Latte and wonder how the rock landed in the pond maybe.
Stroke the cat and pass an hour away.

Angles! Triangles! Inter-sections! Re-fractions! Re-fractions! Being lead by lines! Patterns (regular)! Patterns (irregular)! Depth! And your disappearing point approximates the upper-right "power point of Thirds" !!!!!!

And, to my eye, not a square millimeter (millimetre?) of negative space.
The mind boggles!

But I am bereft!
(Where's Dave?)

Y'r gettin' there, fella!

Must be a friend of Norman's. Well done Mr. Spad like everything about this one. Great treatment.

You can claim you aren't an artist Billy, but I'd say you have to have an artists eye to have captured this. Good days work!

I see very inviting patterns and relationships in the boulder - or whatever it is. And the mostly white of it would give me something I have been looking for but never found - white patterns. No whitish rocks in this part of the country.

I am curious about your placement of the dirty white mass. It seems to create a lot of tension and I am wondering if it is in the act of hovering after flying in and what is holding it up. I'll probably be losing some sleep over this one. My mind plays funny games with me when ever I am perplexed by a photograph.

Anyhoo, there's tons of stuff to look at in this photograph. Really complex in it's perception and execution.

Good work, Billy. A fun photograph to ponder.

This is a good photograph -- but a little chaotic for my particular sensibility. Maybe a tad too much visual input for me. Yet, there is much here I like. A fine effort.

Do not be bereft my friend. Dave as you are aware is naturally nocturnal and had been working the night shift. As stated elsewhere Mrs Dave is with egg and he is working extra hours to afford bunk beds for the nest. His wife is looking rather large!!!

I think you said you liked and thanks for calling by. Hope the new hinge is settling down now.

Not the eye of an artist at all I reckon. This was part of a 90 minute walk close to my home practicing with my new camera. I noticed all the crazy lines and angles and took a shot from where it appeared to have most semblance of order. Thought it would be one for the reject bin but on download it sorta worked for me. Black and white was to get rid of some of the chaos and concentrate the eye on the lines and angles.
So a lucky snap in all honesty.
I very much appreciate you calling by and taking the trouble to comment.

The rock is strange as I have not seen white rocks anywhere else here. It may be from another island or even imported. The place where it resides appears, by Filipino standards, to have been built with scant regards to cost. And Starbucks has a loan desk inside the cafe so you can spread the cost of a latte and Danish!

Glad you like the picture Jim

It is chaotic which I suppose was its attraction to me. I could not find a frame that conveyed the message in a less chaotic way Im afraid.
But I know what you mean.

Thank you for calling by and commenting your interest is very much appreciated
