clone, baby, clone!!!

Actually look to see if you have a 'patch' selection tool. This does some nice cloning but on a selected area. Sort of the same thought process as 'content aware delete' but without the college diploma.

I did! So happy someone told me where it was! Don't know how I've lived without it all the time! lol
Although, after my edit I didn't need to use it, but I did on the originals (which I also keep).
I'll have to look for the Patch Tool.

I would still just crop it out.. there is no major detail in the background that you need that adds to the picture. Just my two cents.. Good photo!

This is a great shot. I would crop out the top black image and then should be perfect.

Hi APhelpsPhoto
Dead easy. Please use the 'CLONE STAMP TOOL'. It looks like a Rubber Stamp with a handle in the Tools Palette. Two to three strokes and 'Wallah!' it's gone. My e-mail is gunney01@btinternet.com. Please contact me on e-mail if you need to discuss this photos etc.
Good Luck
Cecil
PS
It's a beautiful photo!

The Patch Tool is on the same 'square' as the 'SPOT HEALING TOOL', along with the Red Eye Tool and Healing Brush Tool.

can you use the clone tool to remove it?

I can't find that specific tool

A quick easy way is to also crop it out. I have Paintshop Photo Pro, and it has a feature that allows you to draw around the unwanted object, and remove it. It then clones the surrounding background in, and blends it so as not to be obvious that something was removed. In your photo's case a quick clip will solve your problem.

Would have to see the pic to really understand the situation. But you should be able to brush the gun out using a background matching tool in Elements.

Here it is! I think there are too many different colors right there to use the brush tool...

Who you trying to Kid, it looks like it is right next too her. Ha! Ha! It would be a cute portrait just cropped without her Legs also if you wanted to go that way. But agree with you in all the different colors.

Okay I should have read all the Post before Posting, Yes, go with the first cropped Photo that is great. Cropping the legs didn't take away anything form the Photo, very nice.

Using the clone tool, choose your material to clone from right in front of the barrel, which is dirt and grass. Make the clone tool larger than the barrel. One click at a time you can replace the tip of the barrel with grass until the barrel is gone. When you're done you don't want it to look like a row of identical clone circles, so clone some grass above and above the barrel and mix those clone clicks in with original ones. With about 15 minutes you can make the grass and dirt look original and the barrel will be gone.

Oops... I didn't read down far enough. Somebody already recommended it and did it for you...
