Nice capture.
This on my short list.
You did quite nicely.
Great shot Darren and the processed work well.
Thank you all for the comments appreciate it. Craig your modded camera may work well on the vail. I had no success with the western remnants.
Very nice! One object I have never been able to photograph...
That's a good idea Darren thanks.

I think I'll try when I get up and running again. The Orion G3 runs barefoot all the time.
Do you think the Ha 7nm filter would be a good choice to try, Craig?

Yes Sonny I think that filter should give you some good views of the IR in the Nebulas, Veil, Trifid, Orion, Swan etc.
I'm not sure how much visible light will be apparent. What do others think.
This filter is a
656nm with a 7nm passband. I would use the filter wheel and stack the different shots.
Have you posted any shots with that filter in use?
Correction: That filter is 656nm with a 7nm passband. You wouldn't see this nebula at 720nm.

Yes. Some of the Moon, and Sun.
Here is a sun video I got with it one day.
http://youtu.be/T2Nc2pFRjgk?t=1m35sIt will start at the Ha 7nm point to spare you the wait. ;)
Sorry about the poopy focus.

Correct. As far as I can tell from the box, anyway.
Oh, it is a 656nm filter that's super for all the Nebulas. Get busy man as soon as we get some clear skies in So Cal.
