Please give your honest opinions. I shot several of my daughter and future son-in-law this past spring.

I bet your daughter and future son-in-law are very pleased with this photo (and probably other photos you've taken). Finding anything to suggest to improve is difficult. The composition is great, with well placed subjects. The silhouette is sharp. You can even tell who they are (if you know them) and I think I can even tell they are smiling. The color gradient is good (although yellow isn't my favorite). There is a tiny bit of grain noise, but one has to zoom in quite a bit to see it.

Thanks, Jerry. I shot about 160, but only about 18 running around in this field. The sun was setting, I saw silhouettes and thought that is what I needed to capture.

I love it. I think it captures a special moment for the couple. Usually you will see the faces and expressions of the couple, and that is nice, but this is almost more special ... it is more special because only they know what they were thinking, feeling .. only they know the expressions on each other's faces at that moment and it is burned in their memories forever .. this shot a reminder to them every time they see it. I love it because it's intimate.

Very nice photo, as everyone has said, it's quite special.

I think I would remove the tuft of hair at the top of the lady's head and the flies or dust at thigh height right across the image - and maybe try to do something about the white edge to part of the silhouette, but all that is just not-picking because it's in the Critique section!

Thanks for the critique. I was thinking about removing or altering the hair and didn't see the flies or dust until you pointed it out. I'll take a look in LR and see what it looks like.

Hi - I'm probably not good at this - but thirds does not work here (for me). Couple should have been placed centrally IMHO. Otherwise should have been placed on the other side thirds - so that the taller of the two created more balance to the pic. Otherwise - very pleasing. :-)

Thanks, Delderby. I was trying to use the sunset on the right to be the balance, but I see what you mean.

Without a assistant telling them your directions I think you did a great job. The composition with all the negative space works very well showcasing the sunset while keeping the rest of the shot in balance without it over powering the subjects. I really like the sharpness of this silhouette showing a crisp edge around it. The pose works very well. Like I said about a assistant if you directed the groom to keep both legs together instead of staggering them this would have helped and to have the bride arch her back more. Like I said this is a excellent image capturing a wonderful moment between them.

I was going to comment, but, atypically, decided to see what others had said.
Sandra nailed it.
What she said.....
