The location (Colorado), the buffy flanks, the rufous that is confined to the outer tail feathers and the spotted cheeks all tell me that this is a Broad-tailed Hummingbird. Additionally, if this were a Rufous, the forth feather in from the right on the tail as shown in the first photo would show a notch near its tip.
