I have Windows 10 and it's OK, but when I look at a picture downloaded it does no show exif files, camera data???? Do I need a download program or check in a different way. Thanks I know this has been discussed, but when I did a search I could not find the answer. David

St3v3M is right. I did not read the question correctly. My apologies.

The built-in photo viewer seems rather minimal - like most of Windows built-in tools (if they include a full-featured tools in the OS for free, people start suing them for unfair competition)

But, I don't think Windows ever had a built-in photo viewer before, so just do wht you did before -- download a third-party viewer..

My Win7 and Win8 computers both have "Windows Photo Viewer" built in; I'm at work right now - when I get home I'll see exactly what my WinXP box has/does. I know for certain that all of those systems provide Context Menu (technical name for what right click does) access of Properties, which includes basic EXIF stuff.

I have just checked it on my Win10 PC and I have been able to get the EXIF data in the usual way as St3v3M has described.
In the Win 10 photo viewer the info is rather basic, the better choice is "Windows Photo Gallery" where you can view the entire data.
OR you may be able to view the EXIF data in most decent PP software.

This will work on my downloads, but not the HOG downloads.

I will try to find the Gallery. When I get in discussions with HOG members about their work I download and check camera settings so I can advise changes. If I have to open my software, it will take too much time. David

I believe it will if you save that download to your hard drive, then right-click on the image.

The exif data doesn't show the shutter count does it? I have tried to find a program that will tell me my shutter count on my Canon T5i with no luck. I know it's below 10,000. I am posting this photo so maybe some of you guru's can tell. I kinda like this shot I took at my baby girls home.

What settings are you looking for? ( this is for my info - I tend not to go beyond camera, focal length, f-stop, and shutter-speed, and I get those from the "properties" )

Please note this is Windows 10. Detail downloads from HOG members. I want to see ISO, f-stop, date, time, shutter-speed. I can not get them to display in Windows Viewer. I can try in Photoshop, but this way would be too slow to do it a lot. David

And all of that is provided by Win8 when you use the "Properties" context menu (right click on image) - well, date and time are when last modified, usually noted as by Lightroom. If Win10 doesn't do that, I consider it another serious strike against Win10

Bushy, you'd have to check the "store original" box when uploading.
UHH strips the exif data from the smaller images.

Then again, part of the name of your image is "8788" - if your camera is numbering your images consecutively, carried over to subsequent memory cards, would that be the total number of shutter activations?
