Welcome to Day 98 :) Today is Story Telling Saturday on our dedicated challenge month.
My story is kind of long .. hope you don't mind .. but I wanted to take you on a tour of the Arboretum.
Nan ... no pp on any of these :) except the greenhouse which is a pano (had to stitch them hehe)
This is the first thing you see when you enter
then you come across the drover's cottage
cross over this bridge on the main trail
then you come to the herb garden where I found the sundial
then you come to the suspension bridge which takes you to the high trail ... I didn't go up there
there are all kinds of places like this cave to sit and relax
and look out on the beauty around you
then you continue on the path around the mountain
and there are all these gazebos to stop at
from the gazebos you look up on the hill and see the Picket Post house
continue on the main trail and you come to Ayer Lake
there are a few shady spots to sit and listen to the water
then you come to the cactus garden
then this fabulous greenhouse
and this path leads you back to the beginning
What a beautiful journey photogrl!! A relaxing , meditative place it seems! Thanks for sharing it!
You've found a wonderful place to rest/relax/reflect. Thank you for taking on a journey through it...that would be a good theme later this summer.....have everyone take us on a "trip"...love seeing all the different parts of the country through everyone's lens anyway!!!

Holy Arboretum....Sherry NOT TOO LONG...perfect....felt like I was on the walk..wish I was. You are lucky to have this beautiful place...NO PP...GREAT...and all beautiful.
The green house is amazing and i saw the ugly hedgehog cacti.
Fstop...your affinity for the birds really shines through...you must have tons and tons of patience.
my story is a bit long, too...go figure. Not nature...but big city.
This story starts right here with the UHH...I know it is going to sound crazy and I can hardly believe it myself but well...do to my participation on this forum I got an invite I could not refuse, and took myself to NYC April 2, 2012
7am arrival downtown nyc looking up at Tower 1 on left reflected on right

Great shots Rivernan. Was this a guided tour for you?

PG very nice walk enjoyed it very much great photos.
Im going to say you are right PEA it was a once in a lifetime chance...but I have high hopes that i get at least one more invite...maybe when all the floors are finished and then just once more when the full construction job is complete. If not, im totally satisfied with the gift of this one visit. It was a very special day for me and I made a nice new friend.
