This majestic old wreck was near El Toro Marine Base when I photographed it about 35 years ago. I doubt that it still stands. Some detail shots will follow.

I saw this post yesterday and was curious what others would say about it. I wasn't sure what to think and learn a lot from other critiques.
I'm sure this was a cool location and the photo brings back memories. It is the type of place I would love to explore.
However, I think the white balance needs to be warmed up a fair amount. Even the trees have a blueish tint. Also, there is a lot in the view. It is difficult to tell what to focus on. I probably would cut off the right hand half, since that adds the least to the subject matter.

I do like this. It has depth and interesting details. I think I like the way you have framed it. It does have lots of textures, tones and detail, though and I am wondering if the colour is not a distraction from all that.

As Jerry said, you should crop a goodly portion from the right, it's dead space. Although it would be a pity to lose the yellow flowers.

I wish I knew how to send the same message to multiple HHers without having to h & p it each time. Is there a way?
The bluish hue appeared with the digital scanning. The point of focus I've forgotten but am certain that aperture was chosen for max dof. Subject was the entire scene and I wouldn't crop it. ---would regret the loss of the slanting roofs even more than the flowrs. Here is a shot of the other side of the granary. I'll post some abstractioned detail shots to the gallery. If interested, your comments would be valued, as are what you have responded. Many thanks to each of you.Bob
After looking at this again today, it is growing on me. I really like it. I think you have framed it perfectly It has really good depth and great detail. The second one is flat.
