Have several of these photos I would like to improve. Canon EOS60D, 580EX ll flash, iso100, P mode. Taken inside a tent at an event. Not worried about the photo being out of focus. Have several in focus. How can I improve this.

You didn't mention your software, I brought it into Picasa and just did an auto correct. Just a white balance problem. What software are you using.

Ok, At the top "Image"
select "Levels"

Three Eye Droppers on the box on the right.

First eye Dropper select his black shirt
Second Eye Dropper Select the gray counter lower Left.
Third Eye Dropper Select the white lettering in his shirt.

You can use the Curves Also.

Should be good to go.

If you want a good edit, please post the image w/o your post processing.

The logo on the tee-shirt is added afterward for clarity I suppose but it does not do anything at all if you want someone to help you.

Yes, I check for previous PP before anything.

Just look at the lettering you added in the edit proposed. Is that white? Nope.

This type of distortion is avoided if, and only if, provide an unadulterated capture.

I take your word for it.

That this is the only part is really white and in focus is weird. Never saw that before. Reflective lettering then?

Willie, you might want to go in and turn down the Hue/Saturation to help knock some of the yellow down.

Actually it is not a Yellow problem as much as it is a Red over-saturation.

Set most of the colors based on the red white and blue object in the background. Edits were done in PS CS5. Ignored the Tent color, but it could be changed.

You have created a good color skin but the rest is really out of whack.

If you have the image saved as a PSD or similar use masking to limit where the effect takes place and you may have a more than decent correction.

I don't have photoshop, so I don't know how much this will help, but here is my version of the color corrections using LightZone. Basically the edits are a lot less yellow, less red, less saturation and vibrance, less luminosity, slightly lighter lights and darker darks (to counter the less luminosity).

Considering the various edits offered as well as suggestions this is what I think will be relatively close to what you are looking for.

I worked only on the man. Notice that I masked out the t-shirt script.

To see the differences DL the edit and flip it with your original. I believe the skin is off color (too megenta).

If you want the PSD file I can post it and give you the link to it (for a limited time).

PS CC Printscreen to give you a clue. Masking is an important feature here.
