*** Damselfly in distress, Northern Mockingbird

While looking for Warblers in all the wrong places (apparently), I happen to see this Northern Mockingbird with gray eyes and a damselfly. The gray eyes surprised me since all photos of other Northern Mockingbirds Ive taken showed yellow eyes.
Anyway, this was probably the best shot of the day.
Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 500mm F/4.0L IS II lens, Av, 1/2000 second, F/4.0, ISO 1000, Spot metering, 0 EV), on a Gitzo tripod with a Wimberley head.

Excellent shot. On the download, it looks like the poor damselfly has his hand on his head as if saying, "oh crap".

Glad you liked it, Northlander! This particular Canon lens is excellent for delivering very sharp photos.

Great shot! Such feather detail on his back. And Coolcameragirl is right--it does look like he is saying "oh crap"
