Thought you might like to see more of the magnificent tigers I visited at John Ball Zoo. The fencing surrounding them makes it somewhat difficult to get a good shot of the big cats. I had better luck shooting thru a section of glass, tho' it too had a drawback because of scratches. I don't claim my images are perfect but I'm happy with them.

Nice shots, glass is a problem. I use a long lens and get close to the fencing to focus it out, works most of the time. But the subject has to be far enough away from the fence.

Thanks for looking at my past GTinSC. I had so much fun watching these awesome animals. My daughter and I spent about two hours photographing them and the only reason we
stopped was because the zoo was closing.

That works for me too. These cats were too close to the fence so that wasn't working. I appreciate having you look at my post and giving me a feedback.

Nice pix, Annie! I am a newbie here. P'raps as I become a little more familiar with things here, I may post a few of my own big cats. Big African cats, and there were NO fences. Keep up your good work.

Glad you joined. Many moons ago I was on a tour in Africa - Kenya, to be specific. It was a thrill to see animals in the wild. Can't post slides, of course. My first visit to John Ball Zoo after that tour was a major disappointment. I can imagine your excitement 'shooting' tigers. Where? Looking forward to seeing your images.

Big Dummy Sr. - just read your feedback again and see your big cats were in Africa and there was no mention of tigers. Guess I'd better have another cup of coffee. LOL

Nope, sorry to disappoint you, but the only tigers I saw in Africa were in a zoo. Will you settle for lions, leopards, and cheetahs? I may even find a serval cat.

Big Dummy, Sr, thanks for getting back to me. Lucky you, seeing leopards and cheetahs. Cheetahs are my favorite big cat and Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Mi has 2. As far as the animals I saw in Africa, it was lions, zebras, elephants, wart hogs, giraffes. I saw white tigers in one of the places in Los Vegas and at a zoo in India. I'll settle for any and all of the animals you captured.

I guess I'd better try to learn how to post a few of my pix. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Among the many things I am NOT are - computer whiz and photographer.
