Photo right card / Kent State
Apr 6, 2012 16:08:22   #

Yes we have the right to take pictures, well we use to before
911. Now it seems we (those living in America) are losing
more of our right each day.

Yes maybe a card with our rights on it is a good thing to have
with us.

But some of you mite remember what happened at Kent State,
and they were only saying stuff about Viet Nam.

So lets all be careful out there. The police have a lot on there
hands.

we still have the right to take pictures, it is just security measures that make it a little more difficult. Have a good intelligent reply for a question when asked by authorities and maybe that little photographers card would be good. Yell and scream about your rights and it'll be more trouble than it's worth.

I agree rights are being threatened but if you're respectful of authority that is done correctly, you'll be ok. Piss authority off and you can get out the salve for your butt.

We all have rights but being forcefull and demanding ie., take boston, take new york etc etc is just wrong.

Sarge
And I have the guns to prove it.

Granted thing have gotten a little tense since 9/11 and Mr. Bush's war on civil rights, but let common sense prevail. If in doubt, ask someone in authority;don't skulk around; and carrying the photographer's card can help, but don't brandish it. If things begin to go south, better to walk away.

Yeah, and in 21 states, we can take those guns and murder someone as long as there are no witnesses.

Yes and in all 50 states we can take guns and murder someone as long as there is no witness. There could even be a witness and you could take a gun and murder someone. There are more of us who carry a gun everyday and have not murdered anyone ever. I carry.

Let me correct my former post. Yeah, and in 21 states, the NRA has bought off legislators so people could take those guns and murder someone as long as there are no witnesses and the law says to hell with the victim, protect the murderer.

Where do you find your proof that anyone was bought off? Where do you get the proof that anyone has been murdered? I would like to see your sources for that information. Is this something you heard on tv, or do you have privileged information that no one else has. I happen to like the stand your ground laws or Castle Doctrine laws. Without them a criminal or thief has more rights on your property than you do. I carry my gun every day legally and have never used it. I hope I never have to but when faced with a criminal meaning harm to myself or family I would have no problem what ever. I presume you would be a victim in those circumstances.

I remember, but you obviously do not. It was NOT trained police involved at Kent State; it was untrained National Guard.

The purpose of the "Photographer's Rights" card is NOT to prevent the bearer from being hassled; once presented to law enforcement, it only eliminates the excuse of "We didn't know". It like a get-out-of-jail free card, which is good only after you have been arrested.

This will be my last statement on this. Don't embarrass yourself anymore. I asked where you got your information someone was bought off. I asked what proof you had of some murder. I asked where you got your information television of some other privileged source. Your answer was "Everybody knows" and gave a cutie spelling of Fox News. Tell a lie or blame it on someone else. You made the statements, but can't back it up so now you're calling me names. I asked for sources you had and you said I had a closed mind. Again don't embarrass yourself anymore. Change your username and avatar perhaps no one will recognize you when you do that. Don't let them keep on laughing at you.
