one of my favorite spots for alpine photography... Artist Point, located between Mt Shuksan (pictured) and Mt Baker (behind me when i took this photo) in the North Cascades of Washington, affords some of the most spectacular views and photo ops you could imagine, from rugged peaks, deep valleys and mountain lakes to a snow-capped volcano...

I can't imagine how this could be better. The colors are great. I love the red of the soil. Everything is clear and sharp and the composition is excellent! It is all accentuated by the glassy surface of the water. Totally love it
