Great video - Thanks

This bring back old memories as I sat in the Flt Eng position for over 750 hours at age 21 in the Korean War.
The B-29 was my home for over 2 years an unforgettable experience with the 98th Bomb Wing
Thank You
I had the pleasure of going up into the cockpit of "Fifi" a number of years ago at a local airshow. Very interesting and gives you a much greater appreciation for the men who flew this plane into combat. My hat is off to all of you. 8-)

Thank you for your comments. Wish I had been at that airshow very seldom do they let you in these planes.

Thanks for your service, God bless our heroes!
Nice. It's amazing that there is only one left that air-worthy. However, it's probably safer for people and planes if those oldtimers are kept on the ground.
I thought that there is another one that is still flying. I think the name is Doc or Doctor, something like that.
Great tour. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the post.
A couple of years or so ago, I had the pleasure of touring inside the FIFI and a B-17 when they were here at the International air port in Tucson. Took many pictures of both.
They had a walking bridge through the bomb bay area, from the front to the back of the plane so we didn't have to go through the tunnel. Was a real nice tour.

Ah, Tucson. Visited the set of film "Tombstone" many years ago. Played some nice rounds of golf while I was there. Originally from Phoenix.

there is another b-29 being restored out of st louis that will also be flying as well as fifi. by the way fifi was not the name of the plane when she served in the air force. fifi is the name of the major financial donators wife! There is a static b-29 outside the main gate to the airfore base/naval air station in Atlanta. so small compared to a b-52
info- I am WW2 airforce vet. my last duty a b29 base in south
pacific bombing Japan. Flight time from Guam 7 up, 7 back,
a total 14 hours in the air. We lost more planes from mechanical
problems than enemy fire. the atomic bomb was readied
at our base-
the plane was the Enola Gay (girls name)- bomb was shipped to
Saipan for a longer runway-Plane took off and landed in
saipan, 14 hours in air required rubber gas tanks in bomb bay
Lots of them leaked-Planes blew up on take off- I think airmen
were steel ball heros- Sorry to bore you all
