Frozen fruit?

My wife thinks it strange that I wash and dry grapes and freeze them usually in relatively shallow containers. I also peel clementines or oranges and freeze them in baggies. Great snacks! Easy to bite into or thaw for a few minutes and much better than good old popsicles. Plus, no old wasted grapes or oranges. She does freeze extra bananas that are ready to go and uses them in banana bread later.

I figure that besides the healthy enjoyment and no waste, I'll be able to justify another much needed lens.

One must be creative and hope for the best! Actually, I love cold slushy drinks and snacks. I don't drink milk without ice cubes and keep glasses in the freezer with other snacks like junk food Hostess cup cake, baby Three Musketeers, etc.

Probably sorry you commented at this point! Maybe I am strange....

Chocolate is best from the freezer! Having frozen grapes available is good if your wine is too warm - you can drop a few into the glass to cool down the wine and they won't dilute it like melting ice will...

Very clever how you made your post relevant to photography. I like how your mind works.

So does my wife, so I'm sure all is in vain, but I love that stuff.

By the way, thanks for the cold air this morning, 48 degrees is just lovely!

I'm with you on this one Dave, love frozen grapes, especially the ones out of neighbors gardens, (what they don't know won't hurt them), haven't tried the orange, banana thing yet but they will be added to the supply list for this weekend

The seedless clementine type usually come in two or three pound boxes and we can't eat them before they get soft, so this works!

I don't know how to freeze the cantaloupe, but I do know that you have to prepare it with something first. You just don't slice it and put it in the freezer because it will sour.

I'm going make sticks a few inches long and an inch or so in diameter and try it. Bet it doesn't sour!

And as the years pass and your brain ages there might be a time when you freeze the lens and screw the banana on the Nikon. Sigh.
