Tugboat Roundup

Went to the Tugboat Roundup at Waterford, NY yesterday. Located at lock E-2, right in the area where the Mohawk River joins the Hudson River. Went looking for a particular boat, a twin to one I worked on years ago. Wasn't there, unfortunately. Still, had a nice time. All shot with a Canon 6D and either a 24-105 L or a 70-200 f/2.8 L II.

Fine shots.
The one Titled "Toot-Toot". Is it a scale model of a larger tug boat?
Or was it getting ready to tow the Kayak?

You can actually buy plans and build your own mini-tugboat! If you Google "tugboat Toot Toot" or "tugboat Atlantic Hunter" (in the first photo) you can find info about their construction. There was even a club devoted to mini-tugs. Both those tugs were brought to the Roundup on trailers. Another expensive hobby! Just think if you were both a photographer and a mini-tugboater!
What I find interesting is that when I was at Cam Rahn Bay, Viet Nam in '69 there was a small tug there that wasn't much bigger the Atlantic Hunter. It was maybe 20' long at best. Got a picture around somewhere of it. Used to move barges and small craft. Powered by a 300 hp Buda diesel which would fall right through the bottom of Atlantic Hunter!
I think the kayak was towing the dog!

Thanks for the information.

I think the dog was probably giving the kayak a push.
