I am new to this site and have enjoyed photography as a hobby. I prefer landscape photography. I would like to post some of my shots and am open to all criticism. Afterall I cannot expect to get better without constructive input from others. Please provide input.
LIke the first one the best.. uncluttered..and beautiful colors..although it looks pink on my monitor..so here we go with the monitor calibration issue. The tractor background is distracting..and the third one is too dark ..too busy and not appealing to me. Black and white is tricky. You really have to see what looks good in the conversion from color..simple things..clean images with some contrast look best to me. If that was one tree set against a simler background..it might work.
Thank you for your advice. Actually the pink is a result of me in photo shop...as you can see I am not a professional by any stretch. I am adding a few more for critique. I think if I were to have staged the tractor picture and taken the background out of it the shot would have done much better. I liked the color.
I am not a professional photographer by any means, but Would like to comment on your submissions. The top picture, the one of the colors of the trees reflecting in the lake, it seems as though there is too much color that is somewhat distracting.
In the second picture, the tractor, this picture looks like a standard picture taken by anybody.
Now the third picture, in my humble opinion, is the best. clarity, and a somewhat somber view of trees that have lost their leaves to winter.
All of these pictures are nice, but I find the last to have the most artistic value. Just my opinion, but like I said, I'm no professional.
Hope U don't mind Me playing around with Your shot....This is what I came up with.
Thank you ! absolutely do not mind

Okay, because you said you did not mind if someone took a stab at your photo, here's what looked right on my monitor. See if you like it.
The sky was to washed out and over exposed so I put some of it's natural color back in trying to balance it back out. I made some other adjustment also.
See if you can try and get the picture again and take it early in the morning.

this is a really nice image..the more I view it the more I love it. It a stand on its own kind of shot..peaceful . These are tricky to meter..maybe if you get there again..either bracket three shots....or expose for the refelction in the water and then recompose..

do you have a polarizing lens? It would help with the sky? Also, hope you like your Avatar, I sharpen it a bit.
I like your hayfield..my only criticism is the sky...either replace it with another sky..thats a fun adventure..or go back and take that shot again..maybe in evening light..lots of nice golden light..would look great..then you have a winner!
