F4U-1 Corsair Up-date Pics

Went up to the Museum this morning to photograph the latest work on the Corsair...
We've had the tail plane and the tail elevators covered with fabric and doped and the wings have been removed in preparation for them to be covered. You can see by the wing shot that everything behind the leading edge area will be fabric covered. The ailerons are made of wood.
There are two shots of the rear starboard elevator, one with flash and the other without flash so you can see the light through the fabric.

Cool, that's an early "bird-cage" Corsair. Do you happen to know which exact model it is?

FYI that is the elevator, aileron is on the wing.

Oops, my mistake...yes, elevators, I was thinking about the wings when I typed it...

F4-U-1 Birdcage..the oldest Corsair of its type in the world.
Serial Number..Bu-02270
