The lobster mushroom is suppost to taste like lobster. I get my info from the National Audubon society field guide to mushrooms.

The gormet Morels (morchella,) delicious, are being harvested in WV now but folks that have a crop are so secretive and protective, unless one just happens on them, no photos.
Those are beautiful. The first one makes me think of a rattlesnake...sort of.

There are old mushroom eaters, there are bold mushroom eaters, there are no old bold mushroom eaters.

You always take a gamble when harvesting wild mushrooms. There have been noted field mycologists that have died because they miss-ID'd the species.
The farmer's market is a good place to hunt for mushrooms.
