I see that Costco can do a large poster-quality print for $9. Does anybody have any experience with the quality of this product, as compared to a large glossy? It sounds like something worth trying for a pic that would be viewed from several feet away by a non-critical audience of friends or family.
Probably a decent deal. Prints are most likely NOT on photo paper, but some sort of suitable matte surface. As usual with lab prints, your file quality will be the major component of success or failure.
For best results, give them a full size, high quality image that you have adjusted on a calibrated and profiled monitor, stored in their specified ICC color space with little or no compression. Carefully follow any special instructions they give you regarding the file type, size, ppi, image size in pixel dimensions, etc.
