They start showing up in North AL about the first or second week in April. This summer hummer wouldn't get out of the garage before dark so I hung a feeder in there. It was the end of June and I was taking a photo for a July contest of hummingbirds. Note that he is checking out the hole in my cap for food.
Your just a little confused here.
Now you will like that a lot better.

Thanks everyone. I'll let you known when they show up here. I am in the process of registering a new way to feed them. I hope to market my design. I'm working on that project today and hope to have it completed by next week.
I love your picture and had a feeder almost like yours butl I dropped and broke it. I started last year taking pictures of the hummers at their natural food source. Things has been tight here so I reduced the sugar in my water by half. The birds get plenty of food from their natural food source and come to my feeders just as often. You can get a lot of pictures at the feeder but watch how they feed at their food source and enjoy taking pictures there.
This phot was taken before the sun came up
Not a great photo but I love this plant.
This little lady was guarding her place to eat.
Waiting here in Central Michigan. They usually show up the 1st of May, they might be earlier this year.
Here is one of mine from last summer. I have learned a lot since then so I hope to get some better shots.
The photos I sent at 10 AM the first one is a cardinal flower I think. Look for them in wet areas along ditch banks. I planted mine when they had flowers on them and did'nt have trouble growing them in dry soil. You can watch the hummers feed all day long at this flower. I think the other flower is a hummingbird vine. Plant it where you don't care if it set seeds everywhere. I have mine close to my house and they grow across my shurby. It doesn't kill the bushes and they give the vines support. When fall gets here the vines are not hard to remove. When you have a hummingbird vine it stays around a long long time.

Have not seen any yet, but should be seeing them right away because everything is a month early so far.
One of the many nice things about San Diego is we have Humming birds all year.

Good luck, hope you have great success. Thanks for posting the great pictures of Hummers.
My Hummers never left for the winter - had to build a roof for my feeder
