Brokaw 'stunned': Clinton's email handling undermines experience pitch

From the Washington Examiner:

Democrat p**********l candidate Hillary Clinton showed stunning presumption and her careless handing of classified information undermines her experience argument, former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw said Sunday.

"She's made some huge mistakes, in my judgment," Brokaw said.

Brokaw said he was "stunned" by an answer Hillary gave earlier this week. In an interview with Andrea Mitchell, Hillary said she "didn't really stop and think what kind of email system" there would be when she set up a private email server in her New York home in January 2009, as she took office as secretary of state.

"When she said 'I didn't think about the effect of email,' I was stunned," Brokaw said. "We were deep into the digital age at that point; she's secretary of state."

"Do you believe her?" asked Chuck Todd.

"I believe that she was presumptuous ... and I think that's what a lot of people think," said Brokaw. "That she's presumptuous about 'if I believe it, that's the right way of doing things.'"

"At this point, to suggest that as secretary of state, as much as she's been around, she didn't think about the impact and the possibility of hacking just astonishes me," said Brokaw. "I think it takes away from her big argument, 'I've been there, I've done that, I know what I'm doing.'"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My take?

Hillary definitely thought about the email server making sure it was setup prior to starting her stint as Secretary of State. Sure she thought about it. A private server keeps her electronic correspondence away from the prying eyes of Congress. This is a benefit to Hillary.

She obviously did not think of America's best interests since virtually every expert has determined that her server was prone to be easily hacked.

I think the folks that STILL fawn over her as the presumptive Democrat winner need to have their collective heads examined. Hillary will always choose Hillary over anything, even her country. And we do not need another president like that.

From the Washington Examiner: br br Democrat p***... (show quote)

That she might not of understood the vulnerability of her server (actually a computer) is not surprising - she is not a techie nerd.

That she relies on her judgement is exactly what leaders in sensitive jobs do. Did she solicit and listen to a wide enough panel of advisors (people who have specialized in an aspect of an issue). Judgement in possesion of evidence is what she has done.

My problem with Hillary is not in her qualifications but in her capacity to bear up in what is the hardest job in the world. I am always amazed when I see pictures of a President on Inauguration Day and their Last Day. You virtually see the pressure oozing out.

She had access tp a government supplied email server, but was techie enough to want to set up her own. It would have been easier to just use the government one… but then she would't have been able to do exactly as she has done… "wipe it clean-you know, with with a cloth" ROFL.

She is a liar and a crook, and if the law was followed should be doing time for what she did- she should be disqualified from holding any office.

Do you plan to have the trial after she starts her time or do you intend to not even bother. After all, if you know she's guilty she's guilty, right?

Who said anything about doing time? Just take her on a hunting trip. It would be very easy to mistake here for a Water Buffalo.

She was on a government supplied email server, she was on her husband's. Everything she says has to get the repubs going nuts. Don't be so afraid of her.

She was not on a government supplied server you i***t. That is the whole point. She was on a private server. Where in the world with that addled brain of yours did you get the notion that she was on a government server? Her husband's server? Are you that dense. Her husband (the lying thief) does not have a government server.

Let me back track here just a bit...

When Hillary says she didn't give the email thing much thought what do you think she means?

I think she is straight up lying. If you don't give it much thought, you take what they(State Department) give you. Obviously that didn't happen.

The woman is a bald faced liar, and yet somehow people are still considering v****g for her. She needs jail time and the rest of you need professional help.

I know you find this hard to believe, but I agree with you100%. But can't you just once make your point without calling people names? Is it possible to behave like an adult.

How about: "She was not on a government supplied server. That is the whole point. She was on a private server. How did you get the notion that she was on a government server? Her husband's server? Her husband does not have a government server."

See how that works? Your words, but edited to read like a rational, mature, intelligent person. You should try it at least occasionally.

One sentence to agree with the message. 12 to critique the delivery. Isn't that very PC of you?
