Is that Orion? Nice shots.

Yes it is.. It was taken from Mauna Kea Visitors center..

Nice shot of Orion. You got the Orion nebula (M42) and it looks like a trace of the Flame Nebula (NGC2024) as well.

Nice shots. I can't even get a decent moon shot with my camera yet but am trying as I am monkeying around with the setting now trying to find the best one.

1.8 50 mm lens at f2.2, Iso 800, 2.5seconds. Added contrast in PP. Have Nikon D5100. I also had it set to almost infinity, Indicator showed middle of infinity marker.
