Precision Colors

I've recently come across the company "Precision Colors" in some responses on UHH. Their website is quite interesting, and I was impressed that they have some joint associations with Red River paper, which I have used quite a bit. http://www.precisioncolors.com

Can anybody here vouch for the quality of the company and its products? It looks like a good way to save substantially on printer ink.

I am planning on purchasing a set of Precision Colors inks for my Canon Pro-100.
I like their device to "reset" the original Canon cartridge chip counter, back to Zero.

Here are a few opinions worth reading:

Thanks--this is exactly the type of information I'm looking for.
On a side note, and at the risk of hijacking my own thread, how is the pro-100 in printing B/W? I do quite a bit of that. I've used an Epson R-3000 at school, but it's no longer available (I'm no longer a student).

I love the deep rich blacks on my color prints. One 13x19-inch print of Moon Jellyfish (aquarium ambient lighting) is basically a B&W image, with just a touch of gold color. The print looks just like my monitor image.

I have noticed that the two gray cartridges required replacement before any other color.

Have you tried Ink Owl? I've used their refills for the last seven years on our Epson printers (1250, 3000, R320 9600, 9000 and a few I've forgotten) and had no problems since converting. Well that's not entirely true. Their inks will clean out your settlement in the print lines and heads "IF" you have a printer that is idle for long periods, and cause the settlement to clog heads. Usually this can be remedied by printing a sheet with the color of the clogged head and saving a lot of ink by flushing. Once cleaned, the printers tend to wear out before you get any minor problem such as heads drying out from lack of use or high temperatures.

They work (for me) much better than the Epson inks. The color consistency from batch to batch seem to be excellent, and dry time is faster than Epson. I use a variety of papers from plain bond, clay base, to photo papers. My photo papers are mainly roll from Red River.

They do have large capacity reliable tanks and chip resetters offered. Tanks are excellent quality, and unlike Epson cartridges, have not had one get stuck in a printer. They are in Canada, so expect any where from 3 to 5 days for delivery.
