Okay, this is why the internet sucks. The article you cite says that Dearborn, MI has been under Sharia law since 2013. It's not. I used to live there, I now live about 15 minutes aways from Dearborn. I often visit several stores and restaurants in Dearborn. It is the home of Ford's world headquarters, and Greenfield Village, a museum that celebrates American culture http://www.thehenryford.org/village/index.aspx and has thousands of visitors. Every fourth of July there is a huge concert put on with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra complete with a fireworks display. East Dearborn has a very large Arabic population (has for over 50 years) but there is no Sharia law. Dearborn is a middle to upper middle class town that has many Christian churches and one of the best Catholic Schools in the State. Dearborn is a very law and order kind of place. If you don't cut your grass, shovel your snow or keep up you property you will get fined. Don't show up for jury duty and you are held in contempt of court. If you drove through Dearborn you would also notice the large number of America f**gs that fly thought the city. Many of Ford's executives make Dearborn there home. I don't think they would live in a place with Sharia law.

I am not quite sure how to take that? Detroit, Flint, Saginaw and Benton Harbor certainly have major problems but Michigan in itself is a great place to live. You are never farther than 6 miles from an inland lake or more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes. The weather is very nice and there is tons to do. I was born in Brooklyn, NY and did most of my growing up on Long Island and although there are things about NY I miss I would never even consider moving back. The wife and I discussed a move to Florida but after careful consideration decided against it.
