Happy me

A few days ago I received my new lens (ref "Happy me")
Looking for a lens for my D7100 that is "Tack Sharp". Had a chance to try it out. WOW!! Pic is a RAW image with minimal PP and no Sharpening applied.
Lens us a 50mm, 1.8G It is amazing. Don't know how much will be lost in the upload of this picture but see if you can Zoom in on the hair. Picture is amazingly sharp. Picture metadata is F 7.1, 1 320/sec, ISO of 800. Only prime lens I have. It is definitely my sharpest. This is going to be fun.

Good Shooting

Thanks for the comeback. It's amazing when you find something that really impresses you. I've heard for years that prime lenses are sharper than zooms. I guess I'm a slow learner but I think I found out something exciting and it's fun to share.......

Good shooting

I've tested my lenses and my cheapest lens, the 50mm f/1.8D is the sharpest. Enjoy!

I have read about this lense and f7.1 seems the reported sharpest. Of course if that gives you the DOF you are after.
