I guess it's for a Canon? Your price is ONLY $ 71.00 MORE than a NEW one from B&H and only $ 171.00 more than the used one they have in stock. I fear you waited too long to get your money out of this, given the current price! With the new discount, the Tamron 150-600 is only $ 1,000.00. May I respectfully suggest that you do a bit more research if you want to post for sale items here as most are well aware of an item's value. E-bay may be a better venue for you.

I just love the UHH members who feel it is their duty, their obligation to publicly criticise, comment and preach on another member's postings regarding pricing. If a suggestion is necessary then PM it - keep it private - respect fellow UHH members. Just don't be a thoughless idiot.

Thank you for setting me straight here. Trying to help the fellow sell his lens and point out the price is a bit high since, with only 9 posts I would think of him as a newbie. Perhaps you could buy it from him to make up for my mistake just so we all know how wonderful you really are.

In the future perhaps you could be wise enough, considerate enough, thoughtful enough to PM your opinions to the original poster. Perhaps you could make the purchase to amend for you misguided, dubious public suggestion. But you are continuing to reinforcing you callousness with each additional post.

Newbieness is not measured by number of posts alone. Look a little closer. Islandboy joined the forum a year before you did.

Sounds like you are a firm believer in the concept of 'BUYER BEWARE'.

Does this also apply to anyone who reviews a product they have experience with and point out any flaws that the item may have. Or should buyers be required to find out for themselves what those flaws are after a purchase?

If a buyer doesn't have enough sense to check and compare pricing, then yes, buyer beware. My posting is only referring to those who wish to point out pricing discrepancies. I made absolutely no reference to quality issues of a product - an entirely separate issue.

And, at this point, we have stepped all over this UHH seller's posting. This issue should be addressed separately.

Hi everyone,
First, a big "thank you" for the thoughtful member comments on my post. I am one that is open to constructive criticism and when delivered in the right way, there is a chance I would use it. I would never offer a condescending comment as the one in question, but I suppose some people are very proud of what they think they know. Even though it can be right, it's all about the way it is delivered. I know I have some downward price adjustment to make on my lens and will do so. What is most bothersome in this case is the insinuation that I might be trying to take advantage.

Hi everyone, br First, a big "thank you"... (show quote)

That thought did not even cross my mind. I was just disappointed in the way the response to you was worded. Have a good day!!! :-)
