Blake Shelton...
A few more from last nights taping of the movie "An American Saturday Night". Sorry about the poor quality, I was just to far away for great shots. Still...these give you a nice look at him.
And he sang this song...chew tobacco, chew tobacco, chew tobacco...spit!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXAgv665J14What a funny song...but so true here in Nashville.
I'm in a band with an older man who used to drive a bull dozer for Blake on his ranch. One day when George was working, blake called him to the house. When George walked in there was a guitar case sitting on the couch. Blake said, "George, I thought you might like this." It was a brand new Takamine acoustic like Blake plays. I have never seen another like it and it was probably worth 3 grand.
Blake is a class person. Just had to put in a word for Blake the person. After Blake gave George the guitar, I went out and bought some of his CD's.

Awesome,I really enjoy Blake's music.I would be happy to have any photos of him.You mean they allowed you take a camera in with a zoom lens? Lucky you!
Not an easy environment to work in. Nice job. Was that the New or Old theater.

Heck yea...cameras are welcomed and encouraged at the Grand Ole Opry. I saw a few folks with DSLR's. Normally they let you walk up to the stage, but not last night because of them making a movie. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Bill, this was at the new facility well sort of, it opened in 1974. The old place your thinking of is the Ryman. Yes, this was a very difficult shoot because of the distance. I did the best I could with a cheap camera.
Thank you Kindly for stopping by George.

I have another Blake Shelton story. One day Blake call George to the house and told him he was going to be out of town for about a week. He said he was going to Las Vegas because he had to do a couple shows at the National Finals Rodeo. He told George to keep on working on the pond he was building and he would see him when he got home. George told him that's a fine how do you do you go often have fun and I have to work. Blake just laughed. When he got back home he gave George a really nice NFR belt buckle.

Sounds like Blake, thanks for your story. He kneeled down on stage last night and thanked everyone for coming when his set came to a close. He remembers how he got here...
