I stumbled across this site by accident yesterday ( Aug 30 2015) and I love it. I have always been interested in photography, but it is just a hobby - for now. I tell everyone in my next life I want to be a photographer. I am 53 years young and about to be a grandmother for the first time ! I am parapro ( teacher assistant - 15 years ) and I also tutor students after school. I am also very interested in health and nutrition and learning more about healthier ways of living. Just in the past 3 years I have taken up running, and I love it. I take my camera with me a lot when I visit different areas to run local 5k's. I run at Stone Mountain Park ( Ga ) and have taken quit a few photos there.
I am hoping this site will help me to learn a great deal about photography, how to use my camera settings correctly and when to seize the moment for a great shot. So far I am loving all of the pictures that everyone is posting.
I am just learning how to maneuver around the site ! My photos are not professional (yet ), but hoping to get better ! Oh, and I use a Nikon D3000

I have a good friend in Kennesaw....we visit Gibbs Gardens together every year where I love to take photos.
