Small world...my wife's great grandparents are buried in the Ball Ground Cemetery. Been back there three times in the last 30 years to visit her heritage and take photos of the Cooper/Thacker family headstones.
First time, about 30 years ago, it was basically a deserted town with very little going on. There was the "marble man's" store but it was never open. Think there was an old cafe on the north side of the main street. We would camp out at Altoona Lake...a beautiful campground to take our trailer.
Anyhow, are you from Ball Ground? We don't remember Gibbs Garden so it must be new since our last trip.
