Is camel the meat of choice in the middle east? I guess it would make sense, I had never thought of it.

It is considered a delicacy by some. In reality, if you ask the right folks, most regular look down on it. Camels are the Middle East pig, everything is used from the meat to the skin, hair, bones, milk.... Camels are still used as 'gift' between sheiks, for good reason. The 'top' camels used in 'beauty' competition can see their value rise up to $500k.
Thanks for posting these, really interesting. Whats "schiso" mean?
MORE!!!
Hobbled camel in the desert... If you don't do that your beast is gone... And trust me, running after one is not fun in the desert heat.

Camels, oil well and tanks, all in the same area!
How are camels made?
Notice the excited camel on the left, they foam like crazy and display their humongous tongue, hidden in this picture (wrong side)
On the lower right, traditional hollowed out palm tree used to water the beasts.
How do you feed a camel?
Like a goat, those things will eat anything
How many camels where in this farm?
About 250, it was owned by the king's uncle.
15 Pakistanis and Hindu worked in there. They had their quarters, their temples (2).
One last for the road... The guy really in charge of this menagerie included asses (4) cows (15) a few goats and who knows what else...
