I went on vacation this week to Montauk, NY. I woke up one morning to photograph the sunrise at the lighthouse point. I have done this for the last 3 years and it always amazes me how different each time is. My photos are remarkably so different then last years photos. Then I took some sunset photos that evening at the beach.I hope you enjoy.
Alissa these images are fabulous , well done. Number 2 and three my faves of this batch
Alissa these are great. What did you do to balance the light?

Beautiful series!!!
#2 for me!!

All are terrific but the fifth one is something to aspire to.
My brother in law recent gave me a Sigma 18-200, a Meike MK-910 flash, an ND filter and a variable Circular Polarizing Filter. May some of your awesome work rub off in this direction.
So I see the post in the digest and before I even go in I was expecting your name there. No surprise. Neither is the images. We used to drive out there from Hulse's Camp on Sound Ave and Hulse Landing Rd were we had a house. I grew up from 10 to 20 in the summers out there. Frankie and Annette type of summers on the beach and playing 45's and Monopoly on the lazy days of summer porches.
Damn, I start a summer novel here!!! Nice work A. Glad I know you. I show off your stuff all the time to my family and friends. They don't get my love for photography till they see your work. Me an Peter Sellers....
I like to watch."

What a fantastic set! Trying to pick a favorite is proving to be very difficult. I will have to go with number 2. Any one of these would be welcome on my wall great shots.  I see you have your gear listed what lens did you use?
Great images, Alissa! I have shot this lighthouse several times and I love the angles you have chosen.
Great set of a beautiful old light. Your last 2 photos depict the end of her life....or they have to move her.....expensive.... or bring in more fill. Lighthouse used to be quite a ways from the waves that will eventually consume her. Love your photos. djt
Very lovely series, Alissa. So serene and beautiful.
Gorgeous stuff Alissa. You certainly have the touch.

Great work Alissa. I love al of them, but 3 and 6 and 7 are my favorites. Number 3, even though the road curves away, it still leads my eye to the Lighthouse. And of course I love long exposure such as 6 &7. What was the shutter speed? Thanks for sharing your talent and passion for photography with all of us!

Really great shots, 1 & 2 are my favorites...
