Wow, is anybody still using ComCast. I thought they bit the dust long ago.
But, who knows. I was surprised when I found out some people are still using AOL. I made a ton of money from people using AOL, fixing AOL problems in the late 90's and early 2000's.

I think that all is needed is to tell windows 10 your email user name and password. I did that with my local email provider and no problem so far.

I would agree with Legion. If you really like 10, I'm staying with W7 by the way, then perhaps you will need a different email program. Incredamail works pretty well but I'm not it supports 10. There are others but before you download check to see if 10 is supported.
Try eM Client. It works fairly well - better than a lot of others.
I use Comcast and had no problem after converting to Win 10. Just have to reinstall the Constant Guard anti-virus program.

Can't be right. The ISP has no relation to the local email client. If you insist o using Comcast's webmail, their "may" be a glitch, but I doubt it. It is just a datastream. Sounds like poor tech support, but typical. Get another ISP. Get thunderbird or if you insist on webmail, get it through Yahoo, Google or another vendor. (Actually it is free.)

If you want to keep Win 10, download a copy of UBUNTU and burn to a cd/dvd disk. Boot from it and access your Comcast email from UBUNTU. You do not need to install UBUNTU. Just boot from it. It is a Live CD. It is a Lunix derivative and it is free.
My wife and I have a Windows 10 desktop (just upgraded from Windows 7) with G-Mail, Outlook, and Mozilla Thunderbird all happily running together on the same system.
Again thank you all,
for the information.
that bs I have Comcast and it works just fine in all 4 machines. Call them back and talk to some one in the USA.

I thank you for your input. I asked for help because they live an hour away and I wanted to have some thoughts prior making a trip; also they are not very computer knowledgeable. I have gone to help them before only to find that they switched printers as the default and didn't know why it wasn't printing anymore. So what they said to Comcast I don't know, but most likely I will find I can cure it without Comcast since others have said they have working e-mail with them with W10.
